The amount of water affects the colour intensity, allowing you to create everything from light, transparent washes to rich, vibrant shades. Once the colour has been activated and dried, additional layers can be painted over it without dissolving the previous layers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDerwent Inktense works on a variety of porous surfaces, including paper, canvas, wood, ceramics and fabric. On fabric, the pigment must be completely dissolved in water to become permanent.
