Fudenosuke Brush Pen

Fudenosuke are brush pens with a small tip from the Japanese Tombow . Our absolute best-selling pens over the years. Their popularity is based on the fact that they are comfortable and fairly easy to write with. Good beginner pen for brush lettering but also for writing quite generally.

Here you can watch a video with Tombow Fudenosuke and Rhodia Dot pad. Rosette shows tips with brush lettering.

A few tips along the way

The line width is controlled by the pressure on the pen when you write and the tip is durable, so don't be afraid to press harder when you want thicker lines. On the black fudenosuke you have the option to choose between soft or hard tip and there is not a huge difference between these. Many who have used the pens for a long time notice the difference immediately but for the vast majority it is a bit of a cut and paste which one you use.

The black Fudenosuke has a water-based pigment ink that is waterproof. So it does not bleed through on paper (of course it depends on the paper too). In recent years it has also come in colored versions that look like chalk on a blackboard. They are also available in the usual traditional colors.

Rosette demonstrates and writes with the Fudenosuke.
