Derwent Charcoal - Light charcoal pencil from the British brand Derwent. A charcoal pencil with a light grey tone, the lightest of the three grades in the series. Ideal for sketches, soft shading and tonal transitions where lighter grey shades are desired.

Derwent Charcoal has a soft, powdery consistency, typical of traditional charcoal pencils. The charcoal can be blended, mixed and manipulated with an eraser. It is also naturally water-soluble and can be manipulated with a damp brush.

The pencil has a round wooden barrel with a black lacquer finish and a 4 mm charcoal core. The charcoal is lightfast, with the highest rating of 8 on the Blue Wool scale.
